Can the hydraulic oil filter element be reused

Hydraulic oil filter plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and performance of hydraulic systems. These filters are designed to remove contaminants and impurities from hydraulic oil, ensuring smooth and effective operation of the system. However, a common issue that arises is whether these filter elements can be reused.

Generally speaking, it is not recommended to reuse hydraulic oil filters. Over time, these filters accumulate pollutants and debris, hindering their effectiveness. Reusing filter cartridges that have been saturated with impurities can lead to reduced filtration efficiency, decreased system performance, and possible damage to hydraulic components.
 

The hydraulic system uses hydraulic filter cartridges to filter out particulate and rubber impurities in the system, ensuring the cleanliness of the hydraulic system. Its characteristics are as follows:

 

1. Divided into high-pressure section, medium pressure section, oil extraction section, and oil absorption section.

 

2. High, medium, and low precision levels. 2-5 μ m is high precision, 10-15 μ m is medium precision, and 15-25 μ m is low precision.

 

3. In order to compress the appearance size of the finished filter element and increase the filtering area, the filter layer is generally folded into a corrugated shape, and the pleating height of the hydraulic filter element is generally less than 20mm.

 

4. The pressure difference that hydraulic filter elements can withstand is generally between 0.35-0.4 MPa, but some special filter elements require high pressure differences, such as 32 MPa, or even equivalent to a system pressure of 42 MPa.
 

5. Withstand the temperature, the general requirements to reach 135℃.
