Q4: How do I properly ground this filter cartridge?
A: Proper grounding requires three elements:
- Conductive Media: The filter media must be conductive (our anti-static media)
- Groundable End Caps: Metal end caps that contact the conductive media (standard on all our cartridges)
- Housing Ground: The filter housing must have a grounding lug connected to earth ground
- Important: The anti-static property is useless if the charge has no path to escape—always verify the connection between the filter, the tubesheet, and the housing ground.
