FAQ
Q1: What DLE engine models does this filter cartridge support?
A: This air filter cartridge is engineered for the DLE60, DLE111, and DLE170 twin-cylinder gasoline engines. The DLE60 delivers 7.0 HP at 8,500 RPM with 15.2 kg static thrust at 100m; the DLE111 delivers 11.2 HP at 7,500 RPM with 25.5 kg static thrust; and the DLE170 delivers 17.5 HP at 8,500 RPM with 35.0 kg static thrust. Custom configurations are available for other DLE engine models upon request.
Q2: Can this filter be used on both carbureted and EFI versions of these engines?
A: Yes.The air intake configuration is consistent across carbureted and EFI (electronic fuel injection) versions of the DLE60, DLE111, and DLE170. The filter cartridge is fully compatible with both. The EFI system‘s precise fuel control makes clean intake air even more critical—contaminants that affect airflow can disrupt the ECU‘s calculations and reduce engine efficiency.
Q3: How do I select the right filter for my specific DLE engine model?
A: The DLE60, DLE111, and DLE170 have different intake dimensions and airflow requirements. When ordering, specify your exact DLE engine model and, if possible, provide your existing filter, a drawing, or your intake dimensions. We will manufacture a precision-fit replacement optimized for your specific engine‘s airflow characteristics.
Q4: Does a clogged filter affect engine performance?
A: Yes. A clogged filter restricts airflow, which alters the air-fuel mixture ratio. This can cause the engine to run rich (excess fuel), leading to rough idle, poor throttle response, reduced power output, and potential spark plug fouling. In severe cases, the engine may stall at critical moments during flight.
